Don Bosco Tech Vaduthala has begun in the year 1962, as a private non formal institute offering diploma programmes. Later in the year 1964, the technical was shifted in a new building. It was officially recognized by the govt. of India, and granted affiliation to the National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour, Employment & Training, Govt. of India, in the year 1971. Today it has grown into full-fledged private ITI, preparing students for the All India Trade Test in various engineering trades. It also offers several job oriented training programmes. The Institution aims at imparting sound education to young people through an all-embracing training which, while equipping them with technical training, will take care to develop their character and personality thus forming honest citizens useful to the society. The institute is managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco. St. John Bosco, popularly known as Don Bosco, dedicated his whole life for the welfare of youth. He developed an educational system grounded on the three principles – Reason, Religion and Love that was later known as the Preventive System. Don Bosco is known as the Friend of Youth. He is truly a source of inspiration and a model for the young.
