INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF WELDING

The International Institute of Welding is an international scientific and engineering body for welding, brazing and related technologies. Its membership consists of the national welding societies from around the world. The Institute was founded in 1948 and the office is headquartered at Paris, France.

THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF WELDING

The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India) was incorporated on the 22nd April, 1966 at Calcutta to foster the development of welding science, technology and engineering in India and since then has been serving the cause of the welding industry through its 13 branches / chapters throughout India. IIW-India is now recognised as the premier Institute related to welding in the country with over 4500 Individual and Corporate Members.

DON BOSCO TECH IIW INDIA - ATB

Don Bosco Tech IIW India ATB, Kochi, s an approved Training body for training, examination and certification of Welding Technology. It has been accredited by the International Institute of Welding (IIW) as their only Approved Training Body for International Welder course in South India. Don Bosco tech IIW India ATB also offers on demand certification to meet ISO 3834 company requirements for experienced welders.

International Welder Diploma

The International Welder Diploma is a programme of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) with various levels in Arc, MIG/ MAG and TIG welding qualification like:

1. International Fillet Welder (IFW),
2. International Plate Welder (IPW) and
3. International Tube Welder (ITW)

The Course includes theoretical education and practical training. Several training modules on various welding processes and materials as per the requirement of ISO 9606 standards are covered in the International Welder qualification.

Duration          :           One year

Age                 :           Above 15 years

Eligibility        :           A passed out certificate in the secondary school

(Examination by an authorized state school board or its equivalent and the ability to comprehend written and oral instructions in English)
